Freshly roasted coffee releases carbon dioxide for days after it leaves the drum. Seal it in an airtight bag with no valve and the bag balloons or bursts; leave the bag open and oxygen walks straight in and stales the beans. A one-way degassing valve solves both at once: CO₂ escapes, nothing comes back. It is the single most important component on a coffee bag, and it is why roasters can pack same-day.

We fit the valve into a high-barrier laminate — foil, metallized PET or a high-barrier clear structure — so the rest of the bag is doing its job while the valve does its own. Valve placement matters more than people expect: too low and beans block it, too high and it sits in the headspace above the fill line.
